Jeanette Lynn Modler, BSocSC (Hons), L.L.B.
I graduated from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2003. I
articled at Viner, Kennedy, Frederick, Allan & Tobias, LLP and was made an Associate Lawyer in 2004.
I joined Blais & Rorabeck, LLP in 2011 where I practice Family Law, Civil Litigation and Employment Law.
I represent clients in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice in Kingston, Belleville,
Napanee and Brockville. I represent clients with respect to claims under the Family Law Act, the Divorce
Act, the Children’s Law Reform Act, the Courts of Justice Act as well as claims under the common law.
I excel in resolving matters through intensive and results-oriented negotiation and mediation. If your
situation has already progressed beyond the point of negotiation, I offer assertive, prepared and
focused litigation services that ensure your position is strongly advanced in court.
In addition to my case work, I maintain strong involvement in the legal community. From 2007 to 2009,
I Co-Chaired the Frontenac Law Association Young Lawyer’s Group and the Social Committee. I now
act as the Resources Director/Director at Large of the Frontenac Law Association. I also taught Civil
Litigation in the Law Clerk Program at St. Lawrence College.
For many people, a fight in the legal system is one that is brought by necessity and not by choice. As
your lawyer, I use my knowledge and experience to lead you through the complex area of law and help
you emerge from the system without undue stress and with maximum results.
